Scenes from Inauguration Day: Talking with Trump Supporters
On January 20th, 2025, Donald Trump officially became President of the US. Standing outside the Capitol building, I spoke with supporters and attendees about why they wanted to be in D.C, what initially drew them to vote for the President, and their reactions for the day. 
Panama's diverse bird populations in rapid decline throughout tropical rainforests
In summer 2022, I attended a month long study abroad to Panama. While there, I created an audio piece about the declining number of birds in the Panamanian rainforest and how that is affecting its surrounding ecosystems.  
What does it mean to you to be a "person of color?"
An idea that I have wanted to do for a long time is a story on the term "person of color." Taking from my own experiences with the term, I spoke to friends and an expert to find out people's thoughts and feelings surrounding their association to the term 'person of color.' 
Standing in solidarity with NU HOWL
With the task of creating a news story, I spoke to a student coalition called NU Huskies Organizing With Labor (NU HOWL) about the important work they are doing to stand in solidarity with service workers on campus. 
How does media influence our relationship with our bodies?
My second assignment for the class allowed me to speak to an expert for a Host Interview, and this piece about the relationship of media and body image reflects just that.  
Life as a coffee shop employee
As a part of my Podcast and Radio Journalism class, I created a short audio portrait of a local coffee shop employee, detailing her experiences working there and gathering audio bits of what she does.
